What We Offer

Acupuncture consists of the insertion of very fine stainless needles into the body at specific points. The placement of the needles will depend on what we are trying to treat or improve. There are hundreds of potential points on the body but in a typical session you will receive between 2 and 10 needles. Because the needles are so thin you may not even feel them go in. Common sensations after insertion include warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a pulsing feeling in your body. These sensations usually subside after a few minutes. The needles are retained for 15-25 minutes. Most people find acupuncture extremely relaxing and many fall asleep during the treatment.
Massage is geared toward treating specific health conditions, relaxing the body, and giving the clinician diagnostic information. You will often receive some bodywork prior to getting acupuncture. Shiatsu (sustained acupressure) is the style most used, although Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports massage techniques are also incorporated. Massage oil is used on occasion.
Cupping is a modality for the purpose creating suction on the body using glass or plastic cups. The skin and muscles are pulled up and held in place for 5 to 10 minutes. Cupping is typically done on the back and shoulder muscles to relieve pain, tension, and toxicity in the body. It works by getting rid of old, dead, or stuck blood and thereby increasing new fresh blood to flow better through the cupped area. You may have red or purple marks from the cups, but the marks will go away within a week. People report that when the cups are removed, it feels like a big release!

Visceral Massage is a specific kind of hands-on work that directly massages the internal organs.
Most of our essential body parts are inside the abdomen: stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder, bladder, and reproductive organs. Our body's main systems (nervous system, blood vessels, lymph nodes) concentrate and cross paths in the abdomen, which acts as their control center.
Disturbances anywhere in the abdomen can cause physical tangling and knotting of the nerves, blood vessels and lymph nodes. The abdomen is also where a lot of emotional stress gets “dumped” and stored.
By activating the Parasympathetic Nervous System, Hara work promotes digestion and wound healing. It slows heart rate, relaxes muscles, reduces stress, strengthens the immune system, and normalizes breathing.
Relieves intestinal blockages, gas, bloating, scar tissue, headaches, menstrual problems, fibroids, poor blood circulation, back, groin and hip pain, sciatica, adrenal fatigue, urinary track infections, prolapses, infertility, and impotence.

During a foot reflexology session you will get to relax as the clinician massages specific areas of your feet. The foot is a microsystem of the whole body which means that reflexology can be used for diagnosis as well as treatment. It is especially helpful for stress, headaches, and anxiety.

Transformational breathwork involves the clinician guiding you through deep and fast breathing for 15 to 30 minutes. When the body receives greater amounts of oxygen and releases excess carbon dioxide, you often enter into an altered state of consciousness. An enormous amount of energy is moved and often released, which can free up long held physical and emotional blockages.
This work is good for someone who needs a big change in their health or life, as well as anyone who feels like they can’t take a deep breath or is “holding” a lot of stress, and is unable to release it through other ways. This can be an intense yet powerful modality.
